All-Terrain Crane Hire

For larger lifting jobs, an all-terrain crane is an excellent choice. All-terrain cranes have the major advantage of being roadworthy. This means they can drive between jobs without the need for trailer transportation. They can also drive successfully in challenging site conditions. All-terrain cranes can perform well in challenging conditions.

Not only are they a good choice for construction projects, but they're also frequently used to lift shipping containers or heavy pieces of plant. The telescopic boom allows heavy loads to be lifted vertically - our largest all-terrain crane can lift up to 95 tonnes.

If you've got a multi-site development, all-terrain crane hire is a cost-effective, convenient way to have a crane at your disposal, wherever it's needed.

  • What type of crane is a Franna?

The Franna range of cranes is designed for pick and carry purposes, meaning they can be driven on regular roads as well as job sites. Effectively, these units are a combination of a crane and a truck and they are capable of travelling long distances on public roads with heavy loads attached to the boom.

  • How much can a Franna crane lift?

This will differ across the range and depend on the rating and configuration, but you can access Franna models that are capable of picking and moving up to 25 tonnes of load at any given time. To put that into perspective, your average fire truck or fully-loaded garbage truck weighs around 25 tonnes.

  • What type of crane is an all-terrain crane?

There are cranes specifically designed for the road and other cranes that have been engineered predominantly to operate on rough surfaces. An all-terrain crane is capable of both and can be used across any surface, in almost any environment and in almost all weather conditions.

  • How much can an all-terrain crane lift?

Again, this will depend on the individual unit. The range is varied and you can find all-terrain cranes that are more agile with a load rating of 40 tonnes all the way up to workhorses that can lift a staggering 1000 tonnes.

  • How do I determine which crane is right for my project?

Selecting the right crane involves considering several factors, including the weight and dimensions of the load, the lift height, site accessibility and ground conditions. Our team at AMAC Cranes Group leverages over 35 years of experience to assist you in choosing the most suitable crane for your specific needs, ensuring efficiency and safety.

  • Can you provide services for geographically or technically challenging sites?

Yes, we provide lifting solutions for sites that are geographically or technically challenging. Our fleet includes all-terrain cranes capable of operating in diverse conditions, from tight urban spaces to rugged, remote locations. We conduct thorough site inspections and planning to navigate the complexities of any project site effectively.
